The device is designed for closing the gondola wagon hatches after granular cargo unloading.

The hatch lifting device (Fig. 1) consists of a lever 1, fang 2, ratchet gear 3, steel wire rope 4, hook 5, upper ratch 6, and lower ratch 7.

Gondola wagon hatch closing procedure:

-fit fang 2 onto the gondola wagon hatch rim 8 to mount the hatch lifting device;

-lift the upper ratch 6 and manually pay out the rope attached to hook 5;

-press the upper ratch 6 down;

-attach hook 5 to bar 9 of the gondola wagon locking mechanism;

-lift the gondola wagon hatch while moving lever 1 up and down;

-secure the hatch with hatch locking pins 10 (picture 2);

-remove the hatch lifting device
